Narendra Modi was born on 17 September 1950.Modi was born in a poor family.His father had a tea-stall. Modi helped his father to sell tea. He was third of six children born to Damodar Mulchand Modi. he studied in BN high school ( a Gujarati school).He was interested in debates,games. He was an average student.
when he was 17 years old his parents arranged his marriage to Joshodaben. But he never lived with her. According to him a unmarried person could fight against corruption more aggressively.
In 1971 he joined RSS, during 1975-77 political crises,prime minister Indra Gandhi declared a state of emergency, banning political organizations such as RSS. He always work for his country. Modi was involved with creating a network of safe houses for individual wanted by the government and in raising funds for political refugees and activist.During this time, he wrote a book Sangharsh Maa Gujarat.In this book he described about the politics of Gujarat.
Modi joined the BJP in 1987, He was instrumental in greatly strengthening the party's presence in the state in succeeding year and importance of Modi increased in BJP. After the hard work of Modi. Finally , BJP form government in Gujarat in 1995. And Keshubhai Patel becomes Chief Minister of Gujarat. Due to Keshubhai Patel falling health and poor public Image. So, In 2001, Narendra Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Modi did great work as a CM such as economic growth, improvement in health facilities, decrease poverty, education system etc in Gujarat.
In March 2002, an incident known as 'Godhra Kand' made Modi, a figure of controversy domestically and internationally over his Hindu nationalist beliefs and his role during the 2002 Gujarat riots.
The Godhra train burning was an incident that occurred on the morning of 27 February 2002 in which 59 people died in a fire inside the Sabarmati Express train near the Godhra railway station this known as 'Gonda Kand'.The High court has asked special investigative team to investigate Modi.but there was no concrete evidence against Narendra Modi.
Modi was Gujarat's longest serving chief minister.
On 26 May 2014, Modi became the Prime Minister of India. He launched many scheme to increase the literacy rate of women in India and many more new schemes such as 'Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojna' , Make in India etc. He launched many schemes about cleanliness like Namaami Gange, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Modi became the first Prime Minister to embark on a bilateral visit to Nepal after a long time of 17 years,to Australia after 28 years, to Fiji after 31 years.
